ICT in Education: literacy, enhancement and personalization
A broader perspective on ICT in education: 21 st century skills including digital literacy, enhancement of the learning and personalization of the organization. These aspects are considered within three generally formulated objectives for education: to bring pupils to self-fulfilment, to create re sponsible and involved citizens and to prepare them for a future working career.
- Step 1: The necessity of ICTs in education is not negotiable anymore.
- Step 2: ICT as subject and ICT skills as core element of 21st century skills must be taught.
- Step 3: ICT should also be used for enhancement of the learning , by teacher and student.
- Step 4: ICT enables a personalization of the learning environment.

In the program students perform assignments that are created by local ICT companies and institutions. The program is open for older students to get a grade for the subject informatics and for younger students to recognize their interest in ICTs at all. Because of the predicted shortage of ICT workers a local program has been set up to make young students (age 14-18 y) more enthusiastic about informatics and ICTs. In the program students perform assignments that are created by local ICT companies and institutions. The program is open for older students to get a grade for the subject informatics and for younger students to recognize their interest in ICTs at all.
